Voice training study for academics

This trial tests two voice exercises (EMST and Triflo) to see if they help reduce vocal fatigue and improve voice quality. It is designed for academics who teach face-to-face classes and have no existing voice disorders.

Who can take part

  • You have worked as a teacher or professor for at least 2 semesters.
  • You teach at least 9 hours of in-person classes each week.
  • You have never been told you have a voice problem (like nodules or polyps).
  • You do not smoke.
  • You are not pregnant or have high blood pressure, stroke history, heart disease, asthma, emphysema, COPD, or had surgery on your head or neck.
  • You do not have a neurological or mental health condition.
