Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You can receive treatment within 24 hours of stroke symptoms starting.
- Brain imaging shows a blockage in a large or medium blood vessel in your brain.
- Your stroke symptoms are moderate to severe (score of 6 or more on a standard stroke scale).
- Before this stroke, you were able to do daily activities without help (modified Rankin score 0–2).
- You are not pregnant, have no severe allergies to contrast dye, and no other major health issues that would prevent recovery.
