Who can take part

  • You must have a GRIN-related neurodevelopmental disorder (caused by a change in the GRIN1, GRIN2A, GRIN2B, or GRIN2D genes).
  • Genetic testing must show a specific type of gene change (loss-of-function) that stops the gene from working properly.
  • You must be at least 2 years old at the time of screening.
  • If you have taken L-serine before, you must be willing to stop taking it for at least one week before the study starts.
  • You must not have any serious unstable medical condition (other than epilepsy) or other diseases that could interfere with the study.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and cannot have participated in another drug trial in the past 6 months.
