Who can take part
- You have HER2-positive breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body or cannot be removed with surgery.
- You have not had any chemotherapy or HER2-targeted therapy for advanced breast cancer before. (If you had these treatments before surgery, it must be more than 6 months since you finished them.)
- You are 18 years or older and have a good performance status (able to do most daily activities).
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a CT or MRI scan.
- You have adequate heart, kidney, liver, and bone marrow function, and no serious uncontrolled heart or lung disease.
- You do not have symptomatic brain metastases, active infections, or a history of other cancers in the last 3 years.
