Who can take part
- You have HER2-positive breast cancer (a type that tests positive for a protein called HER2)
- Your cancer has spread to other parts of the body or come back locally and cannot be surgically removed
- You have not had chemotherapy or HER2-targeted therapy for advanced cancer before (you may have had up to one line of hormone therapy)
- You are age 18 or older
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans and has not been treated with radiation recently (bone-only tumors are not acceptable)
- Your overall health is good enough for daily activities (ECOG score 0 or 1)
