Who can take part
- You have breast cancer that is HER2-positive and has spread to other parts of the body or has returned locally and cannot be removed by surgery.
- You have not had prior chemotherapy or HER2-targeted treatment for advanced or metastatic disease. (Previous hormonal therapy for up to 1 line is allowed.)
- You have at least one measurable tumor that can be evaluated (but not only bone metastases as target).
- You are 18 or older and your general health (ECOG score) is 0 or 1.
- Your heart, liver, kidney, and blood counts are within acceptable ranges as per trial guidelines.
- You are willing to use effective contraception if you are of childbearing potential or have a partner who is.
