Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Your valve disease must be serious enough to need a new aortic or mitral valve.
  • You must be willing to have all the study procedures and follow-up visits.
  • You cannot have an active heart infection (endocarditis or myocarditis) or other body-wide infection.
  • You cannot be getting both your aortic and mitral valves replaced at the same time.
  • You must be willing to sign a consent form (or your legal guardian must agree).
