Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You are eligible for surgery to replace your aortic valve (the main heart valve that sends blood to your body) with a biologic valve (made from tissue).
  • This includes replacing your own valve or replacing an existing artificial biologic valve.
  • You are not planning to get a mechanical (metal) valve.
  • You do not need surgery on another heart valve or a catheter-based procedure (like TAVR).
