N-acetylcysteine for newborn sepsis: a study

Who can take part

  • Your baby must be born at or after 32 weeks of pregnancy and be less than 28 days old.
  • Your baby must have been diagnosed with sepsis (a serious infection in the blood).
  • Your baby cannot have life-threatening birth defects that would prevent them from living through the first 28 days.
  • Your baby must not be allergic to N-acetylcysteine (NAC).
  • You, as a parent or guardian, must agree to let your baby join the study.
