Who can take part

  • Your rectal tumor is at a stage where it has grown into or through the muscle layer (cT3-4) or has spread to nearby lymph nodes (N1/2).
  • Your tumor was tested and found to be 'mismatch repair proficient' (pMMR) or 'microsatellite stable' (MSS).
  • You have not had any previous chemotherapy, radiation, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy for this cancer.
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old and in good enough health to walk and do daily activities (ECOG score 0-1).
  • You do not have active autoimmune diseases, active hepatitis B or C, or a history of HIV.
