Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy using an EEG test.
  • Your standard MRI does not show any other brain abnormality besides mesial temporal sclerosis.
  • You are able to safely have an MRI scan (no metal implants, pacemaker, or severe claustrophobia).
  • You have not had brain surgery or a serious head injury.
