Who can take part

  • Your child is between 1 month and 10 years old
  • They have been diagnosed with pediatric ARDS (using standard criteria)
  • They have been on a breathing machine for less than 48 hours at the time of joining the study
  • No history of lung injury from air leaks (like a collapsed lung)
  • No significant congenital heart disease
  • No known or suspected high pressure in the brain
  • No implanted defibrillator (ICD)
