Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a planned laparoscopic surgery on the left side of your colon.
  • You have an ASA physical status of I (healthy) or II (mild disease).
  • You are not allergic to local anesthetics (numbing medication).
  • You do not have any bleeding disorders.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You do not take daily opioid painkillers for chronic pain.
