Early use of gliflozin for older adults with heart failure

  • You are 75 years or older.
  • You are in the emergency department with worsening heart failure symptoms like shortness of breath, swelling, or weight gain.
  • You have high levels of a heart stress marker (BNP or NT-proBNP) in your blood.
  • You are expected to be admitted to the hospital.
  • You have never taken gliflozin before.
