Who can take part

  • You are between 25 and 75 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
  • Your symptoms are not well controlled with oral medications.
  • You are considering or already have a deep brain stimulation system that can be upgraded.
  • You have at least 2 hours per day of 'off' time or uncontrolled movements (dyskinesias) despite medication.
  • You do not have significant memory or thinking problems, untreated depression, or other serious medical conditions.
