Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 27 and 39.9, meaning you are overweight or obese due to body fat.
- Your weight has been stable (not changed more than 11 pounds) in the last 3 months.
- For Part B only: You have had type 2 diabetes for at least 6 months, managed by diet, exercise, metformin, or SGLT-2 inhibitors.
- Women must be unable to become pregnant (surgically sterile or past menopause for at least a year). Men with partners who could become pregnant must use birth control.
