Combined home and clinic exercise coaching for heart failure
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This trial tests a program that combines home-based and clinic-based exercise coaching to help people with heart failure get more active. It aims to improve health and quality of life.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (your heart squeezes out at least 50% of blood each beat).
- You are 55 years or older.
- You are not already exercising regularly (more than 30 minutes a day, at least twice a week) for the last 6 weeks.
- You have not had a heart failure hospitalization or urgent visit in the last 4 weeks.
- You can walk on a treadmill and complete an exercise test safely.

This trial tests if using a combination of biomarkers can help personalize treatment for people with a specific type of heart failure called HFpEF (or heart failure with preserved ejection fraction). It aims to find better treatments based on your individual test results.
This study looks at how the heart muscle works in people with a type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but doesn't fill properly. It aims to understand the cause better, which could lead to new treatments.
This study is testing better ways to understand and manage heart failure where the heart pumps normally but still doesn't work as well as it should. It looks at people with symptoms like shortness of breath and fatigue, using blood tests and heart imaging to check eligibility.
This study tests a training approach for adults who have breathlessness from HFpEF (heart pumping that is preserved) together with PH (pulmonary hypertension). It aims to see if structured training can be done safely while your usual heart medicines stay stable.
This study tests an exercise-focused program (including coaching/support) for adults with heart failure where the pumping strength is preserved. It may help improve exercise ability and daily function while monitoring safety.
This study tests whether a special exercise program that combines different types of training (like aerobic, strength, and balance) can improve heart and muscle function, daily abilities, and quality of life in people with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). You may benefit if your heart failure is stable and you are able to exercise safely.
