Who can take part

  • Be age 18 or older, and able to give informed consent
  • Have HFpEF with breathing symptoms that are moderate to severe (WHO/NYHA class II–IV)
  • Have pulmonary hypertension confirmed by a heart pressure test (right heart catheterization), with specific pressure thresholds at rest or exercise
  • Have preserved heart pumping strength (left ventricular ejection fraction 50% or higher)
  • Be on stable, optimized treatment (especially diuretics/water pills) for at least 1 month, and keep medicines the same during the study except diuretics
  • Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
