Recovery from immune therapy-related hypothyroidism

Who can take part

  • You are 19 years or older
  • You were treated with an immune checkpoint inhibitor (a type of cancer drug that helps your immune system attack cancer)
  • You developed an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) as a side effect of that treatment and started taking levothyroxine (a thyroid hormone medication)
  • You have stopped immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy before joining this study
  • You did not take any thyroid medication or antithyroid drugs in the 3 months before starting immune therapy
  • You have no history of thyroid surgery, radioactive iodine treatment, or radiation to your neck
  • Your current dose of levothyroxine is less than 0.1 mg per day
