Who can take part
- 18 years or older with a diagnosis of very low-, low-, or intermediate-risk MDS.
- Need regular red blood cell transfusions (2–6 units every 8 weeks).
- Hemoglobin level below 11.0 g/dL after your last transfusion.
- Bone marrow has less than 5% blasts (immature cells).
- Endogenous erythropoietin level less than 500 U/L.
