Who can take part

  • 18 years or older with a diagnosis of very low-, low-, or intermediate-risk MDS.
  • Need regular red blood cell transfusions (2–6 units every 8 weeks).
  • Hemoglobin level below 11.0 g/dL after your last transfusion.
  • Bone marrow has less than 5% blasts (immature cells).
  • Endogenous erythropoietin level less than 500 U/L.
  • No prior treatment with certain MDS therapies, including darbepoetin or luspatercept.
