This trial tests a new type of cell therapy (called UCAR-T) that targets two proteins on immune cells to help calm the immune system and reduce kidney damage in people with a tough-to-treat form of membranous nephropathy. It’s for patients who haven’t gotten better with standard treatments and have high levels of protein leaking into their urine.

Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You must have a kidney biopsy that shows primary membranous nephropathy (a specific type of kidney disease).
  • Your kidney disease must be high-risk or not well-controlled after prior treatments (with persistent protein in urine).
  • Your kidney function (eGFR) must be 45 or above if you have relapsed or treatment-resistant disease.
  • You must be willing to use birth control during the study and for 6 months after (if of childbearing age).
  • You cannot have certain other conditions like active infections, other cancers, severe heart disease, or uncontrolled diabetes.
