Who can take part

  • You must have a diagnosis of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or a related condition for at least 6 months.
  • You must have significant negative symptoms (like having trouble with motivation or social activities).
  • Your current medication must have been the same for at least 4 weeks before starting.
  • Your symptoms must have been stable for at least 3 months (no major changes).
  • You must be able to have an MRI scan and have no medical reasons that prevent brain stimulation.
  • You cannot have had electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) in the past 6 months, or previous treatment with repetitive TMS.
