Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You have confirmed peripheral artery disease (PAD) based on tests like ankle blood pressure, ultrasound, or CT scan.
  • You have leg pain or cramping while walking that goes away with rest (Fontaine stage IIa or IIb).
  • You are scheduled for a 36-session supervised exercise program at the study center.
  • You already have a CT scan that includes a slice at a specific level of your spine (L3) that can be analyzed.
  • You are able to give written informed consent.
