Electrical stimulation to improve hand grip after spinal cord injury

This study tests a new way to use mild electrical pulses on your neck to help improve your ability to grip and grasp things. It may help if you have had a cervical spinal cord injury for at least a year and still have some finger movement.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your spinal cord injury is at least 1 year old.
  • Your injury is in the neck area (cervical spine) at level C8 or higher.
  • You have some nerve signal in your index finger muscle (tested by a doctor).
  • You do not have serious medical issues like uncontrolled heart/lung disease, seizures, or a metal plate in your skull.
