Who can take part
- You have atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat).
- You are already scheduled for a heart catheterization (a test that measures pressures inside your heart).
- You can have both a heart ultrasound (echocardiogram) and the catheterization within 8 hours of each other.
- You are not taking any new heart medications between the ultrasound and the catheterization.
- You do not have severe heart valve problems, a mechanical mitral valve, or certain other heart or health conditions.
