Intensive behavioral weight loss program for adults 50-75
Part of Brain & nervous system, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.
This study is testing a new, intensive lifestyle program to help people aged 50 to 75 with obesity lose weight safely. It combines a high protein diet with daily exercise to preserve muscle while shedding fat.

This trial studies whether a structured exercise and nutrition program can improve muscle health in older adults with (pre)sarcopenia, especially those who may have slower walking or reduced strength. It also checks safety by excluding people with unstable health problems and several specific medical conditions.
This trial tests a combined exercise and nutrition program to help older adults with sarcopenia (muscle loss). It aims to improve muscle strength and function, especially for those with metabolic syndrome.
This trial compares plant-based protein sources to animal-based ones to see which better helps older adults with obesity and early muscle loss improve strength and health. It aims to find the best protein for protecting metabolism and building muscle.
This trial tests a new approach to treat sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss) by targeting a protein called HIF-1α. It compares older adults with sarcopenia to younger adults without it, all of whom are having hip or knee surgery.
This trial tests whether adding protein powder to a resistance exercise program can improve muscle strength and mobility in people with sarcopenia, a condition of age-related muscle loss. It is designed for adults aged 35–75 who have low muscle strength and slow walking speed or other physical performance issues.
This study looks at how gut changes (including inflammation) may relate to muscle problems in older adults. You may be invited to provide stool (feces) samples and undergo further testing after a screening visit.
