CAR T-cell therapy for GPC3-positive advanced lung cancer
Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This trial tests a new type of immunotherapy called CAR T-cells (C-CAR031) for people with advanced squamous cell lung cancer that has a specific marker called GPC3. The treatment involves collecting your own immune cells, modifying them to attack cancer, and infusing them back into your body.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with advanced squamous cell lung cancer (stage IIIB, IIIC, or IV) that cannot be removed by surgery.
- Your tumor cells must have the GPC3 protein, which will be checked by a special lab test.
- You have tried up to 3 prior standard treatments for your advanced lung cancer, but the cancer has continued to grow or you could not tolerate the side effects.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans.
- You have not had any prior treatment with CAR T-cells or any therapy that targets GPC3.
- You must not have brain metastases or other serious medical problems that would make the trial unsafe.

This Phase 1 study tests a personalized immune-cell treatment (CAR T cells) for advanced liver cancer that has the GPC3 protein. It aims to see whether these engineered cells can find and kill cancer cells safely and help shrink the cancer.
This trial tests a custom immune-cell treatment (CAR-T) that targets a marker called GPC3 in people with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (a type of liver cancer). It’s for cases where standard treatments have not worked well, and the goal is to shrink tumors and improve outcomes.
This trial tests a new type of immune cell therapy, called CAR-T cells, that are engineered to target a protein called GPC3 found on liver cancer cells. It is for people with advanced liver cancer that has not responded to previous treatments.
This trial tests a new type of cell therapy called C-CAR031, which is designed to target and attack liver cancer cells that have a protein called GPC3. It is for people with advanced liver cancer who have already tried other treatments and are looking for a new option.
This trial tests CAR-T cell therapy (immune cells changed to target GPC-3) for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, especially when standard treatments no longer work or you cannot tolerate them. If eligible, the goal is to shrink tumors and help you live longer with improved cancer control.
This trial tests a new type of immunotherapy called CAR T cells that are trained to find and attack cancer cells with a specific marker (GPC3). The CAR T cells are also 'armored' with extra proteins (IL-15 and IL-21) to help them work better. It might be an option for adults with advanced solid tumors, especially liver cancer, that have not responded to standard treatments.
