This study looks at how nitrogen narcosis (a feeling like being drunk when diving deep) affects movement and balance in divers who have had an inner ear injury from diving. Healthy people and divers who recovered from an inner ear injury are both needed.

Who can take part
- You are either a healthy person with no nerve or bone problems that affect balance or thinking, OR a diver who had inner ear decompression illness (IEDCS) and went back to diving.
- If you are a diver with IEDCS, you must have had a test that showed no hole in your heart (PFO), or had that hole closed.
- You can't have a known PFO that is still open.
- You must be able to stand with your feet together and eyes closed for 30 seconds without losing balance.
- No alcohol in the last 24 hours, no more than 1 cup of coffee in the last 24 hours, and no history of substance abuse.
