Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You have hemiplegia (paralysis on one side of the body) that started between 1 and 6 months ago.
- You can hold your breath and blow into a device to measure your breathing strength.
- You do not have a serious lung disease (like COPD or asthma), a paralyzed diaphragm, or a chest wall deformity.
- You are able to understand and follow the study instructions (score of 24 or more on a mental test).
