Who can take part
- You have esophageal squamous cell cancer that has spread to no more than 5 spots in up to 2 other organs, and it has been present for more than 3 months.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans.
- You have not had prior treatment with immunotherapy drugs (like PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors) or certain anti-angiogenic drugs (like sunitinib or bevacizumab).
- You are generally well enough to care for yourself (ECOG score 0 or 1) and have good organ function (kidneys, liver, bone marrow).
- You do not have serious heart problems, bleeding disorders, active infections, or conditions that need strong immunosuppressants.
