  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have severe aortic regurgitation (a leaky heart valve) confirmed by ultrasound.
  • You have symptoms (like shortness of breath, chest discomfort, or fatigue) OR the leaky valve is causing your heart to struggle, even if you feel fine.
  • A team of heart doctors decides that TAVR is the best option for you, possibly because surgery is too risky.
  • You do not have an active heart infection or a major infection in your body.
  • You do not have a severe widening (aneurysm) or tear in your aorta that needs surgery, and your valve area fits the device size.
