- You are between 18 and 69 years old.
- You have a fatty liver confirmed by a special MRI scan or have liver scarring (fibrosis) on a recent biopsy.
- Your liver enzymes (ALT) are below 5 times the upper normal limit.
- You have at least one metabolic risk factor such as overweight, high blood sugar, diabetes, high blood pressure, or abnormal cholesterol.
- You do not have other serious liver diseases, cirrhosis, or other major health conditions like severe heart or kidney disease.
- You have not changed your body weight by more than 5% in the last 3 months and have not had weight-loss surgery or used weight-loss medications recently.
