- You have a skull defect (missing bone) and also fluid buildup in the brain (hydrocephalus) confirmed with a scan.
- You are between 18 and 70 years old and healthy enough for surgery.
- You have not had a skull repair or shunt surgery before.
- You do not have an active infection or severe organ problems.
