6 vs 3 cycles of chemo before surgery for advanced thymus cancer

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with a thymus gland tumor (thymoma or thymic carcinoma)
  • Your tumor is locally advanced but can still be surgically removed (stage III or IVA)
  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You have not had any prior chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or immunotherapy for this tumor
  • You have adequate organ function (kidney, liver, bone marrow) and are in good physical condition (ECOG 0 or 1)
  • No active autoimmune disease or serious heart problems
