Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You must have been diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis within the past 3 months, and have certain antibodies (anti-NMDAR or anti-LGI1) in your blood or spinal fluid.
  • You need to have some disability from the disease, as measured by a score called mRS (modified Rankin Scale) of 2 or higher.
  • You cannot have serious health problems like severe heart, liver, or kidney disease, or certain infections.
  • You must agree to use effective birth control if you could become pregnant or get someone pregnant.
