  • You are scheduled for a planned surgery that requires a breathing tube (elective intubation).
  • Your health is in one of the first three ASA categories (generally healthy or mild to moderate disease).
  • You do not have kidney, liver, or brain disease.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder.
  • You do not have a history of a difficult breathing tube placement.
