Who can take part

  • You have severe aortic valve stenosis (a narrowed heart valve) and your doctor recommends a catheter-based valve replacement
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You speak and understand German well enough to complete tests and answer questions
  • You do not have a life-threatening illness (other than your heart condition) expected to shorten your lifespan to less than one year
  • You are willing to give written permission to participate
  • You do not have a current diagnosed brain or mental health condition (like dementia, depression, stroke, TIA, migraine, or epilepsy) with symptoms that could affect the study tests
