Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are scheduled to have a central line placed as part of your cancer treatment
  • You are able to delay the start of your cancer therapy by 1 to 2 days to receive the study drug
  • Your overall health is good enough (ECOG score 0, 1, or 2)
  • Your platelet count is above 50,000 per microliter of blood
  • You are not currently taking blood thinners or have a known bleeding disorder
