Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You must have gout and a serum uric acid level of 420 μmol/L or higher.
  • You must have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 35.
  • You must not have had a gout flare in the last 2 weeks.
  • You must be able to avoid certain medications like aspirin, diuretics, and other gout drugs for at least 2 weeks before the trial.
  • You must agree to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
