Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must be in the intensive care unit (ICU) for a stroke or other blood vessel problem in the brain.
  • You must be in a coma (not able to wake up) with a Glasgow Coma Scale score below 8, 24 hours after stopping sedation.
  • You or a family member must be informed about the research and agree to not object to participation.
  • You must be covered by a social security health plan.
