Mental practice for arm movement after stroke

This trial tests whether a special type of mental practice combined with movement (called PETTLEP-based Action Observation and Motor Imagery) can improve how your arm and hand move after a stroke. It is for people who still have some arm movement and mild to moderate muscle stiffness.

Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 80 years old.
  • You had a stroke (ischemic or hemorrhagic) that affects only one side of your body.
  • You still have some movement in your affected arm or hand.
  • Your arm muscle stiffness is mild to moderate (not completely rigid).
  • You can understand and follow simple instructions, and sit without support for 30 minutes.
  • You do not have other serious nervous system or movement conditions (like Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, or severe joint problems).
