Who can take part
- You had a stroke (first-time) at least 2 weeks ago.
- You are between 18 and 85 years old.
- Your weaker arm has some movement but is moderately affected.
- You can actively lift your weaker wrist at least 10 degrees.
- Your stronger arm is strong and moves well.
- You can follow simple instructions.
- You tend not to use your weaker arm in daily activities.
- You are not currently getting occupational therapy for your weaker arm.
- You have not had Botox or similar injections in your weaker arm in the past month.
- You do not have severe shoulder or arm pain.
- You do not have severe stiffness in your weaker wrist or fingers.
- You do not have another condition (like dementia) that could affect the study.
- You do not have moderate or severe neglect (trouble noticing one side of space).
