Who can take part

  • You must already be in the SONIC-GCA study.
  • You need a confirmed diagnosis of giant cell arteritis (GCA).
  • You must have had a baseline ultrasound of your optic nerve sheath.
  • You should have taken steroids (like prednisone) for 48 hours or less, and the total dose should be 160 mg or less.
  • You must agree to the extra follow-up visits required by this study.
