Who can take part
- You are having a procedure to replace your aortic valve (TAVR) to treat severe narrowing of that valve.
- You are in normal heart rhythm, confirmed by a 24-hour heart monitor before the procedure.
- After the procedure, you have a certain number of extra heartbeats or short episodes of fast heartbeat that suggest a risk for atrial fibrillation.
- You have never had atrial fibrillation or flutter in the past.
- You are not currently taking heart rhythm medicines like beta-blockers or amiodarone.
