Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older with at least 5 years of life expectancy
  • Shoulder osteoarthritis (wear-and-tear) for more than 1 year, tried non-surgical treatments first
  • Need primary shoulder replacement surgery based on exam and X-rays
  • Good bone quality in the shoulder (assessed by the doctor during surgery)
  • Specific glenoid (shoulder socket) shape type: A1, A2, or B1 on imaging, with limited backward tilt
  • Able and willing to attend follow-up visits and complete rehabilitation exercises
