Who can take part
- You have newly diagnosed nasopharyngeal cancer (not keratinizing type) that is advanced (T4N2 or T1-4N3 stage) with involvement of lymph nodes
- You are at least 18 years old and in good overall health (ECOG performance status 0 or 1)
- Your blood counts, liver, and kidney function are adequate; your heart, lungs, and thyroid function are normal
- You have no history of other cancers in the past 5 years, active infections (HIV, hepatitis B or C, tuberculosis), or uncontrolled medical conditions like heart disease, uncontrolled diabetes, or severe lung disease
- You are willing to provide a tumor tissue sample (from past biopsy or new biopsy) and commit to all study visits and tests
- If you can have children, you must use effective birth control for 6 months after treatment ends; women must have a negative pregnancy test before starting
