Light therapy to improve blood pressure control in treated hypertension

Who can take part

  • You must be taking losartan 100 mg per day (split into two doses) as your only blood pressure medication for at least 2 months
  • Your current blood pressure readings must be 140/90 mmHg or lower
  • You cannot have taken any other blood pressure medications in the last 2 months
  • You must be between 18 and 65 years old
  • You cannot have skin sores, cuts, or lesions on either arm
  • You cannot have other serious health conditions (heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, or psychiatric conditions) that could be worsened by light therapy
