Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a body mass index (BMI) between 30 and 45
  • Your blood pressure at the start must be in this range: top number 130–160 and bottom number 80–100
  • You should not have certain heart and circulation problems (like heart attack, stroke, serious rhythm problems)
  • You should not have lung blood pressure disease (pulmonary hypertension) or a history of swelling reactions called angioedema
