Who can take part

  • You had a stroke in the front part of your brain caused by a blood clot
  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are able to have endovascular thrombectomy (a minimally invasive procedure to remove the clot)
  • You did not have significant disability before your stroke
  • You do not have a body temperature below 35°C when admitted
  • You can attend follow-up visits for 90 days after the procedure
