Who can take part

  • You have acromegaly and are scheduled for endoscopic pituitary surgery.
  • You are willing to volunteer for the study.
  • Your health status is classified as ASA 1, 2, or 3 (low to moderate risk for anesthesia).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is under 40.
  • You have not had previous neck surgery, tracheostomy, or radiation to the neck.
  • You have no masses or lesions in your mouth or airway, and your neck can move freely.
