Who can take part

  • Severe weakness or paralysis in both arms that hasn't improved with treatment for at least 12 months
  • Age 21 or older with a life expectancy of at least 12 months after surgery
  • Able to undergo brain surgery and anesthesia, with suitable brain and blood vessel anatomy
  • Have a caregiver who can help with study visits, device care (like charging), and support at home
  • Live in a suitable home environment with internet access and be fluent in English
  • No active infections, dementia, severe psychiatric conditions, or other implanted devices that would interfere
